Albert hits #400

In case, you didn’t already know, Albert Pujols just went deep for the 400th time in his career, making him the 3rd youngest person to do so in baseball history, as well as the 5th fastest, in terms of at-bats.  Only 300 more to get to 700, Albert!!

400, baby!!!!

This will be a lot more meaningful if it can be combined with a Cardinal victory.  Right now the Cards lead 5-4 in the 6th inning.  Let’s go Redbirds!

A stat that I would be interested in knowing is how many rally ending double plays has Molina hit into this season?

I don’t know if this is serious or rhetorical, but Molina has hit into 18 double plays. Albert leads the team with 19, but obviously it’s easier to forgive a guy that bangs out 30 homers and 100 RBI for your club every year. But, “rally-killing double plays?” That would be a nice stat to add to the book. 🙂

I can’t believe you used the 400 with Wrigley field ivy? Say it ain’t so.

Congrats to King Albert from a Cincinnati fan. You are the most feared bat in baseball.

Pictures of the #400 were hard to come by, so I had to take what I can get. And it’s only fitting because Pujols has taken so many out of the park at Wrigley. By no means, should you take this as a sign of Cubs support!
